The virtuous homo, though he dies earlier his time, will find residuum.  Length of days is not what makes age honourable, nor number of years the truthful measure of life; understanding, this is human's grey hairs, untarnished life, this is ripe old historic period.

He has sought to please God, so God has loved him; equally he was living amidst sinners, he has been taken up.  He has been carried off and then that evil may not warp his understanding or treachery seduce his soul; for the fascination of evil throws good things into the shade, and the whirlwind of want corrupts a uncomplicated heart.

Coming to perfection in so brusque a while, he achieved long life; his soul being pleasing to the Lord, he has taken him chop-chop from the wickedness effectually him. Our Father 2 redThe Second Reading

(Choose one from the 14 Provided Here)

2nd Reading: A reading from the letter of St. Paul to the Romans   5:5-11

Promise is not deceptive, because the love of God has been poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit which has been given to us.  Nosotros were still helpless when at his appointed moment Christ died for sinful men.  It is non easy to die even for a adept man - though of course for someone really worthy, a man might be prepared to dice - but what proves that God loves u.s. is that Christ died for united states while we were nevertheless sinners.  Having died to make us righteous, is it likely that he would not neglect to salvage us from God'due south acrimony?

When we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, nosotros were however enemies; at present that we have been reconciled, surely we may count on being saved by the life of his Son?  Not merely considering nosotros have been reconciled only because we are filled with joyful trust in God, through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we accept already gained our reconciliation.

The give-and-take of the Lord.

2d Reading: A reading from the letter of St Paul to the Romans   five:17-21

If it is certain that expiry reigned over everyone as the consequence of one homo's fall, information technology is fifty-fifty more certain that one man, Jesus Christ, will crusade everyone to reign in life who receives the free gift that he does not deserve, of beingness made righteous.

Again, as one man's fall brought condemnation on everyone, so the good act of 1 man brings everyone life and makes them   justified.  Equally past one man's disobedience many were fabricated sinners, so by 1 human being's obedience many will be made righteous.

When police came, it was to multiply the opportunities of falling, but all the same swell the number of sins committed, grace was even greater; and so, but as sin reigned wherever there was decease, so grace will reign to bring eternal life cheers to the righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ our Lord.

The word of the Lord.

2nd Reading: A reading from the letter of St Paul to the Romans   half-dozen:3-9

When nosotros were baptised in Christ Jesus we were baptised in his expiry; in other words, when we were baptised we went into the tomb with him and joined him in death, and so that as Christ was raised from the expressionless by the Father's glory, we likewise might live a new life.  If in union with Christ nosotros have imitated his death, we shall too imitate him in his resurrection.

Nosotros must realise that our former selves have been crucified with him to destroy this sinful body and to free usa from the slavery of sin.  When a human dies, of course, he has finished with sin.  But we believe that having died with Christ we shall return to life with him: Christ, every bit we know, having been raised from the dead will never dice again.  Death has no ability over him anymore.

The word of the Lord.

2nd Reading: A reading from the letter of St. Paul to the Romans 8:14-23

Everyone moved by the Spirit is a son of God.  The spirit you received is not the spirit of slaves bringing fear into your lives over again; it is the spirit of sons, and it makes us cry out, 'Abba, Father!' The Spirit himself and our spirit behave united witness that we are children of God.  And if we are children nosotros are heirs as well: heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, sharing his sufferings and then as to share his celebrity.

I think that what we suffer in this life can never exist compared to the glory, as withal unrevealed, which is waiting for usa. The whole creation is eagerly waiting for God to reveal his sons.  It was non for any fault on the part of creation that information technology was made unable to attain its purpose, information technology was made so by God; but creation nonetheless retains the promise of being freed, like usa, from its slavery to decadence, to bask the same freedom and glory as the children of God.

From the showtime till now the unabridged cosmos, as nosotros know, has been groaning in 1 great act of giving nascency; and not only creation, just all of us who possess the first-fruits of the Spirit, we also groan inwardly as we expect for our bodies to exist set free.

2d Reading: A reading from the letter of St Paul to the Romans    8:31-35.37-39

With God on our side who can be against us?  Since God did not spare his own Son, just gave him up to benefit the states all, we may be certain, after such a souvenir that he will not refuse anything he tin can give.  Could anyone accuse those that God has chosen?  When God  acquits, could anyone condemn?  Could Christ Jesus?  No!  He non only died for the states - he rose from the dead, and at that place at God'southward right paw he stands and pleads for us.

Zilch therefore tin can come between us and the love of Christ, fifty-fifty if we are troubled or worried, or being persecuted, or lacking food or clothes, or being threatened or fifty-fifty attacked.  These are the trials through which nosotros triumph, by the power of him who loved us.

For I am certain of this: neither expiry nor life, no angel, no prince, nothing that exists, null nonetheless to come, non whatsoever power, or height or depth, nor any created affair, can ever come between us and the honey of God made visible in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The give-and-take of the Lord.

2d Reading: A reading from the alphabetic character of St Paul to the Romans          14:seven-12

The life and death of each of us has its influence on others; if we live, nosotros live for the Lord; and if we dice, we die for the Lord, so that alive or dead we belong to the Lord.

This explains why Christ both died and came to life, it was so that he might be Lord both of the dead and of the living.

Nosotros shall all have to stand earlier the judgement seat of God; as scripture says: By my  life  - it is the Lord who speaks  - every knee shall curve earlier me, and every tongue shall praise God.

It is to God, therefore, that each of us must give an account of himself.

The word of the Lord

Second Reading: A reading from the first letter of St Paul to the Corinthians 15:20-28

Christ has been raised from the expressionless, the first-fruits of all who accept fallen asleep.  Expiry, came through one human being and in the same way the resurrection of the dead has come through i human being.

But equally all men dice in Adam, so all men will be brought to life in Christ; but all of them in their proper gild: Christ equally the showtime-fruits and then, later the coming of Christ, those who vest to him.

Second Reading: A reading from the first letter of St Paul to the Corinthians

15:51-57

I will tell you something that has been cloak-and-dagger: that we are not all going to dice, simply we shall all exist inverse.  This will be instantaneous, in the twinkling of an heart, when the last trumpet sounds.  It volition sound, and the dead will be raised, imperishable, and nosotros shall be inverse as well, because our present perishable nature must put on imperishability and this mortal nature must put on immortality.

When this perishable nature has put on imperishability, and when this mortal nature has put on immortality, then the words of scripture volition come true: Expiry, where is your sting?  Now the sting of death is sin, and sin gets its power from the Law.  And so let u.s.a. thank God for giving us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

The give-and-take of the Lord.

Second Reading: A reading from the second letter of St Paul to the Corinthians

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               4:xiv-5:1

We know that he who raised the Lord Jesus to life will raise united states with Jesus in our plough, and put us by his side and you lot with usa.  You see, all this is for your benefit so that the more grace is multiplied amidst people, the more thanksgiving there volition exist, to the glory of God.

That is why in that location is no weakening on our function, and instead, though this outer homo of ours may be falling into decay, the inner human is renewed day by day.  Yes the troubles which are soon over, though they weigh little, train the states for the carrying of a weight of eternal glory which is out of all proportion to them.  And then we have no eyes for things that are visible, just merely for things that are invisible; for visible things last only for a time, and the invisible things are eternal.

For we know that when the tent that we live in on earth is folded upwardly, at that place is a house built by God for u.s., an everlasting dwelling non made past human easily, in the heavens.

Second Reading: A reading from the first alphabetic character of St Paul to the Corinthians

                                                                                                                        15:xx-28

Nosotros know that when the tent that we live in on earth is folded up, there is a business firm built past God for the states, an everlasting home non made by man easily, in the heavens.

We are always full of confidence, so, when nosotros retrieve that to live in the body means to exist exiled from the Lord, going as we do by faith and not by sight - we are full of confidence, I say, and really want to be exiled from the body and make our abode with the Lord.  Whether we are living in the trunk or exiled from it, we are intent on pleasing him.

For all the truth well-nigh usa will be brought out in the law court of Christ, and each of usa will get what he deserves for the things he did in the body, good or bad.

Second Reading: A reading from the letter of St Paul to the Philippians 3:20-21

For us, our homeland is in heaven, and from heaven comes the saviour we are waiting for, the Lord Jesus Christ, and he volition transfigure these wretched bodies of ours into copies of his glorious torso.

He volition do that by the aforementioned power with which he can subdue the whole universe.

Second Reading: A reading from the first letter of St Paul to the Thessalonians

4:xiii-18

We want you lot to be quite sure, brothers, virtually those who accept died, to brand sure that you do non grieve about them, similar the other people who have no hope.  We believe that Jesus died and rose once more, and that information technology will be the same for those who have died in Jesus: God volition bring them with him.  We can tell you lot this from the Lord's own education, that any of united states who are left alive until the Lord's coming will not have whatsoever reward over those who have died.

At the trumpet of God, the voice of the archangel will telephone call out the command and the Lord himself volition come down from sky; those who have died in Christ will be the first to rise, and and so those of us who are still live will be taken up in the clouds, together with them, to run across the Lord in the air.  So we shall stay with the Lord for ever.

With such thoughts as these y'all should comfort one another.

Second Reading: A reading from the 2d letter of St Paul to Timothy 2:viii-13

Recall the Good News that I carry, 'Jesus Christ risen from the expressionless, sprung from the race of David'; it is on account of this that I have my ain hardships to bear, fifty-fifty to being chained like a criminal - only they cannot chain up God's news.

Then I behave it all for the sake of those who are chosen so that in the stop they may have the salvation that is in Christ Jesus and the eternal glory that comes with information technology.

Hither is a saying that yous tin can rely on:

If nosotros have died with him, so nosotros shall live with him.

If we hold house, then nosotros shall reign with him.

If nosotros disown him, and so he will disown us.

We may be unfaithful, but he is always true-blue, for he cannot disown his own self.

2nd Reading: A reading from the first letter of the alphabet of St John   3:1-ii

Call back of the love that the Father has lavished on united states, by letting us exist called God's children; and that is what we are.  Because the world refused to admit him, therefore information technology does not admit us.

My dear people, nosotros are already the children of God simply what we are to be in the future has not still been revealed; all we know is, that when it is revealed we shall be like him considering nosotros shall see him every bit he really is.
